Today was a bit of a difficult day. Our friends daughter passed away 1 year ago today. Amber was such a beautiful young woman who had so much to offer. It's amazing to us how she continues to touch so many people even after her passing. Amber was very active in the preschool that Noah attends, shortly after her passing a fund was set up in her name. The money that was raised is going to a new playground for the preschool. Throughout the year we have slowing been working on the playground and today we had a little memorial/tree planting ceremony to remember her. The tree that was planted is called "liquid Amber Tree." It was a beautiful night and everything was just perfect. We took tons of pictures for our friends, who have since been transferred to California and could not make it tonight.

Rainy Day
So the rain is here, and we are not happy about that. I'm sure this will not be my only post this winter on "rainy days." It has been raining for over a week now and we are sick of it already!! So what have we done with our time? Nothing like sitting around the house, in our pj's letting Bryce entertain us. Here are some pictures of Bryce hanging out being silly one day. He is getting so big!!! He has started to say a few words and it's the cutest thing ever. He will say Dad, Mom, NoNa (for Noah) Yes, please, dog and a few more. I love it!!
And I am also proud to announce we are done with bottles!! He would only get them at night when he woke up, but he started waking up a lot at night for them. So I painfully stopped giving it to him. After night 4 I knew I had to throw them away before I gave in. He still gets up at night but is learning how to sooth himself back to sleep, YIPEE!!

Lovely day on the Oregon Coast
Went to bed last night knowing a storm was suppost to hit the coast sometime that night. Winds were expected to be blowing 35-40 knots with gusts up to 85mph!! I woke up around 4am to the howling wind, looked outside and was amazed at how hard it was actually blowing. Then got Ben outta bed so that we can get out stuff in the garage before it blew away. It was blowing so hard Noah and Bryce's table was sliding around, trash cans were moving (that were packed full) our outside table was being slammed against the front door, and a few other things flying around, it was nuts!!! So there is Ben and I in our pj's, wind blowing, sideways rain trying to get everything in the garage at 4am, what a sight!! In the end all Ben could say was "man i just got my garage all cleaned out" and fell right back to sleep.
So today we sit inside watching the tress blow sideways, branches break off, rain fall down, hoping we don't loose power. And I selfishly breath a sigh of relief knowing Ben isn't on duty and home safe with us, this time.

Halloween
OK its taken longer then I expected to get Halloween pics posted, sorry. We had another wonderful Halloween, a bit sad since this was our last Halloween in Newport. Noah was Spiderman and Bryce was Squirt. They both looked adorable, of course. I made 2 crock pots of chili that night and had 10 adults with their kids over for dinner. Ben had the yard all decked out and about 530pm Trick or Treat was in full swing!! They blocked off the neighborhood again, however we didn't have as many trick or treater's as last year. We even had candy left over!!!
Like always I have a ton of pictures but I have to get dinner started.....let me know if you want more:)
