Sunday Night

It's nice a quite in the house so I thought I would take some time to share our weekend, so far. Friday was only a few days ago but heck if I remember what we did. I think Sam's Club was involved and playing outside with neighborhood kids. Saturday we got up and headed to the Dover Children's Museum. Of course I got us lost on the way but Ben was a great sport about it. The Museum was nice, the kids had a blast but it was kinda small. Now please realize I'm still in the "compare everything to OR" phase. And compared to the Children's Museum and OMSI it wasn't much fun. But the kids couldn't tell a difference and we had a blast watching them explore. After they put on a little "show" for us on this stage that was right outside. Headed home and their friend Tyler was outside playing. We spent the rest of the day riding bikes, scooters, power wheels and just getting dirty. We brought Bryce in for bed by 7pm so it was an early night. Noah and I spend the rest of the night playing Wii Fit. He is hilarious! He loves the push ups. It's a little hard for him to have to wait till Mom's done with her time schedule but he's learning. Sunday, Ben was letting me sleep in. It was a little hard with Bryce coming in the room "mommy, mommy" in a quite soft whisper. The boys and I spent the morning cleaning. Is it child labor if your 4 year old cleans the bathroom? Weird but Noah loves to do it, so I run with it. Scrubbed all the floors, bathrooms, windows, floor boards we did the works. Then we started on laundry while we watched Dad pace back and forth waiting for his Fantasy Football Draft. He didn't want to start anything in fear of missing it. After the draft we headed outside for yard work and a good old fashion family water fight. It ended with Dad, Mom and boys in the pool. It was fun.

Tomorrow we are having a BBQ with neighbors. Ben is smoking some chicken and the kids will no doubt be running around. They are all hoping its nice enough to play in the water. We will see.

I have pictures from the Museum to post later. Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!!!

Wednesday, Wednesday

What a late start we are getting. The boys seem to be very very lazy this morning. Bryce didn't even wake up till 915ish. They are currently sitting down having breakfast. And seriously when are these boys going to stop eating so much? Noah is on his 6th waffle and Bryce is working on #4. And they also had 1 yogurt a piece while waiting for waffles. They were dying from hunger, says Noah. And I can't keep milk in my house to save my life. Just this pay period we have already gone threw 4 gallons and I need to go get another today. That's just crazy!!

Construction next door is still banging away. HEADACHE! And the weather is getting cold. The last 2 mornings I have been freezing. I know I wanted the cold weather but its just a little too cold. I have a feeling its going to be a long winter.

Ben is getting ready to leave us for 4 days. He has to fly to Washington for a Surfman meeting. Yep one 8 hour meeting and 2 days of travel. Who would have thought I would be jealous that he gets to go to Ilwaco. If you would have told me that 4 years ago I would have died laughing. But now its true. Plus he gets to see Becky and Levi. Okay enough of that.

When Ben gets home today we are heading to check out what I think will be Noah's new Preschool. Wish us luck. I'm happy with it, it just all depends on what Dad thinks. School starts next Wednesday and I start work Tuesday. Ben will be home later that week. So I'm hoping/praying that things get busy around here. The preschool is really big on parent involvement and they do lots of activities and holiday things in town. So I'm super happy for that. And maybe, just maybe after that we might head over to Michaels. The boys and I went the other day. And they have rows and rows of Halloween stuff. YIPEE!!

Only a few more weeks till Grandma comes!!! We are getting really excited for that. Then a few more months till our big football game! Then a few weeks till I get to told baby Madison again!!!!!!!!

Well I think I have rambled enough. They boys are done will breakfast. Off to clean up, ride the bike then maybe hit the park or something fun for the boys. Oh yeah we need milk.

Have a great Hump Day!!!!!

Ultimate Fan Helmet

By now everyone knows about the Pats/Steelers game we are going to in November. Well every time we talk about this game, either with each other or with Erik or Shae excitement fills us. Like just now talking about it I want to jump up and down. We have been saying some pretty funny stuff that we are going to do for the game. Well not Shae cause she is and Eagles fan and wouldn't be caught dead in Pats or Steelers stuff. Ben and I game across these Ultimate Fan Helmets (Thanks Mom aka Lu) We are not sure if Ben's head is going to fit so we just got one for now. How much fun is this going to be. Can you just see Ben sporting this! We are going to have so much fun. Bring on November!!!!

Hey Shae is this one Erik already has?

Park Pictures

Here are some pictures from the park on Sunday. And a few of the human hamster ball.

Enjoy!!!

Another great weekend

Even though Saturday morning started out rocky the rest of the day and Sunday turned out to be GREAT! We had plans to meet at Adam and Ashlyn's (I think I have spelt it different every time) by 11am to head out on the water. We were able to make it 15 minutes early. Yeah for us! Loaded up and took off. What a great day we had out on the boat and in the water. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and splashing in the water. Ben and Adam even found a bunch of sea life for them. We saw everything from Lobster's swimming, baby lobster, sand crabs, crabs, fish and even horseshoe crabs. The kids had an awesome time! It was such a beautiful day for a boat ride too. After everyone cleaned up and had their naps we did hamburgers and hot dogs over at our house. Of course the kids played and we had a blast as well. Adam and Ashlyn have started to realize that I take my camera everywhere and are pretty big fans of it. Okay not really.

Sunday we hung out most the morning. Played hide and go seek, cleaned, laundry and Ben drove his nitro truck. After lunch we took off to Target to try and find some Halloween stuff. We were very disappointed when Target didn't have any Halloween out yet. On our way home we stopped at the Amesbury Sports Park. You can ride tubs down the side of the mountain and they even have 2 of those human hamster balls. It was fun to sit and watch. After Ben took us over the chain bridge and to this really really cool park in Newburyport. We played for a little bit then walked a few of the trails along the water. It was almost like Oregon but warmer. LOL. We then headed into Salisbury Beach and took the the beach road all the way home. Although it took us about 2 hours longer we still had fun watching everyone (cause we were only going about 2 MPH) and laughing together. All in all it was a great weekend.

I will post some pictures from the park later tonight.

Saturday Morning

It's about 8:30am, kids are starting to wake up, sun is shinning, its going to be a great day. I head downstairs to start my coffee and let the dog out. I also decide that I should clean the filter in Noah's pool. Everything is going just fine until....

this snake went right over my foot!!! I just about had a heart attack standing there. I jump over to the cement step, shaking, crying and yelling for Noah to run up and get Dad. The snake and I just stood for about 10 mins. Too afraid to move, I swore he was staring right at me. I start to realize that Ben isn't coming down and has already gotten in the shower. I take off running for the door and straight upstairs to Ben. He thought that the snake had bitten me the way I was shaking and crying. It was HORRIBLE!! Finally Ben heads out back to get the snake for me. He picks the snake up (YUK) and drives it to the woods to let it go. He didn't agree with my idea of killing it. The boys thought it was great! And just like that my perfect relaxing Saturday morning blew up.

I HATE SNAKES!!!!

A day at the park

Ashlin and I took the kids to the park with a picnic lunch again today. This is becoming a regular Thursday event. The kids love it and so do we. I realize that it's only the 3rd Thursday but we have such a great time I don't see us stopping anytime soon. The park is beautiful, right on the water. It has a tennis court, basketball courts and a really awesome play area. The best part is it has lots of shade! Its kinda by the station so it's half way for both of us. Today I remembered to take my camera. So here are a few shots!!!

Scooters

Well both boys have scooters now. My mom got Bryce a Razor Jr. scooter for his Birthday. The boys have so much fun outside riding them around. Bryce hasn't gotten the hang of it yet but he is trying. Noah is so sweet and stops to let him catch up. I couldn't ask for a better older brother. Here are a few pictures from the day we got it.

ENJOY!!

Another weekend in NH

I think the only time we spent at home this weekend was to fall asleep. Friday I got a wild hair up my butt and mowed the backyard. Ben was shocked! About half way threw I got a call from him. He was heading out with Adam to check lobster pots. So after doing the yards I got cleaned up, packed the boys and wine then headed to meet Ashlyn (in Rowely) and wait for the boys. They came home with only 1 lobster so we had chicken instead. By the time we left it was too late to get the Honda from the Station and just headed home. Got up Saturday, did breakfast, a little cleaning and heading back to Adam and Ashlyns. This time we had 7 lobster for dinner!! It was soooo YUMMY!! They were pretty big too, we couldn't finish them all. So yes we threw some lobster away. Ruff night I know. We remembered to leave early enough to pick the Honda up. Sunday we did some grocery shopping and got home just in time to head out to Amesbury for another dinner. Ben's boss and his wife invited us over, can't really say no. :) The kids made pizza and played. We had a good time there as well. Got home around 845pm got the kids in bed then called to catch up with family. Busy Busy weekend but we had a great time.

Ben's friend from the station is coming over tonight. They are going to make pickles. So my house will stink really bad if anyone wants to come hang out? I have some pictures to post of the lobster later.

Yesterday and pictures

Yesterday the boys and I met Ashlin and Emma at the park by the station. What a fun park that was. It was right on the water and had plenty of shade. I think it's going to be a weekly thing, at least till winter. The boys just love playing with Emma and I really enjoy being with Ashlin too. Everyone wins! After naps, they all came over for some pizza. The kids played outside till dinner then Ben and Adam spent most the time on the computer, it was their draft for Fantasy Football. We played a little Wii then set the kiddos down for some well needed quite time.

I'm also going to post some pictures from a few weeks ago. Remember when we went to the station for fireworks? Well here are a few pictures from that night.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!!!

Tricare+Navy Base= MIGRAINE

What a day! Call tricare to make sure our paperwork went threw to get the boys into a pediatrician,
"Yes Mrs. Molnar we have the boys set up with Dr. Abbott."
"WTF!! Who is that?"
"Your doctor you choose for the boys"
I already knew this wasn't going to be a short call. Asked to be transferred to the enrollment department. It pretty much went downhill from there. I think what pisses me off the most is that I have dealt with tricare for the last 6 years, both as a member and a biller. Yes it can be a pain in the ass but it really hasn't been till today. I have to admit I was defeated! So hang up with Tricare, call the Navy Medical office in Portsmouth. Explained what was going on and that we were assigned to Dr. Abbott. To put it nicely the lady was a BITCH! She told me that's not possible cause he was no longer there and once she realized my husband was in the CG got even ruder. I was then told that "our command" needs to start giving the right info out. BITCH! Come to find out I didn't even need her 2 sense cause she couldn't do a dam thing to help me. Was then transferred around a few times, they were trying to figure out how to use their phone system to get me to the Tricare Rep on base. Not very hard but whatever. Finally get to her, she turns out to be just as rude over the phone as everyone else. Proceeds to tell me that I need to submit a writen request to have my boys see an off base doctor. And from there the "guy upstairs" will either approve or deny it. Then goes on to tell me that I shouldn't be picky about free medical and my boys could be seen there today. Lets just say I was a little fired up. Make an appt for 2pm and was instructed to show up no later then 140pm or we will not be seen. Finally get ahold of Ben, who wasn't very thrilled about they way Navy Medical handled the whole thing. The XO gets ahold of Sector/Group whatever its called in Boston and they are not happy either and started making calls. From their he was told that a new rule came out if you use the stations address you will be on Tricare Prime Remote but if you use your house address then you qualify for Prime only, which means you have to go to the MTF. And of course I used our house address.

Scared to death to step foot on that Navy base without Ben he was home by 1250pm to get us there. I mean seriously would it kill the Navy to be a little nicer? So I now remember why I choose to stay away from Navy bases and stick with Airforce or Army and least they have manners.

I do have to give the medical office credit. Ben and I were very pleased with the care that the boys got today and the nurses were very nice too. So Bryce's ears are fine and Noah looks good to. But I will try my best to stay clear of the Navy base in Portsmouth.

On our way home Ben stopped and got me a few bottles of wine, which I fully plan to enjoy in a bubble bath tonight. He has gone back to work to stand 1st boat so the boys will be in bed by 730pm!!! YIPEE

Grandma's coming!!

HIP HIP HOORAY! So if you haven't noticed our countdown yet.....Grandma is flying in from Phoenix! The boys are super excited to see Grandma again and hoping that Grandpa will get some time to come too! When I told Noah that Grandpa had to ask his work for time off, he says "Mom just tell them that Grandpa will be so sad without us and he has to fly away." How cute is that? So let the countdown begin!

ps~ Grandpa, I know your reading this.....Did you ask yet??????

Pictures

I didn't get pictures on that last post so here they are. Most are from this weekend. There is 1 of Ben and Bryce sleeping on the couch. That was after our long weekend on Sunday. They were dead tired and Bryce has enjoyed falling asleep on Dad the last couple of weeks. Ben's in heaven!!

Updates

Okay I'm a little slow on the weekend updates, sorry. 2 weekends ago we spend most the time at Ben's station. It was Yankee Homecoming so there was a ton going on. We got to the station Saturday in time for a catered lunch hosting by one of the local restaurants. After lunch we walked around the town with 2 other couples. It was nice to finally meet people from the station. Later that night we headed back to watch the fireworks. Unfortunately there was too much fog to enjoy them. So I watched the boys run around the basketball court being chased by Dad. It was super cute! The next morning we were back at the station by 1030am. The CO asked if we would ride in the boat for that parade that day. We got to the staging area by 1130 and sat and sat and sat around some more. By 130pm the thunder clouds rolled in fast and it started pouring rain. We jumped outta the boat and headed for our cars. By the time we got back to the station and the guys changed out it was closing in on 230pm. Still no lunch and soaking wet we decided to pass on a BBQ and heading to Sams Club for some over due shopping.

This weekend we had a GREAT time. We have made some new friends YIPEE! Ashland and I took the kids to this really cool indoor park thing in Newburyport on Thursday and did lunch. Friday the guys had a ruff schedule at work and were on the golf course by 130pm. OUCH! After golf we headed to "our new friends" house for a BBQ. They have a little girl a few months older then Bryce so the kids had a blast running around. Saturday they asked if we wanted to head out on their boat to find a beach somewhere. We decided to stay home and get some cleaning done, fun I know. But we had a really great day. After cleaning we headed back to the station to pick up the Honda then stopped by the store to pick some Birthday toys up that finally arrived for Bryce. Came home and played with new toys the rest of the night. I'm sure once Ben got the picture of the lobsters Adam got he wished he would have gone. Oh well maybe next time. Sunday we were supposed to have more thunderstorms come in much to our surprise it was a beautiful day. We got ready and loaded up for the beach. After a few hours of sand, water and exploring we headed home. Dad and Bryce took a little cat nap while Noah and I picked up a little. After naps we headed outside to play with Tyler (the little boy across the street) The kids get out there power wheels and take over the streets of Summerwood, its great. Ben cleaned and vacuumed the cars then joined the adults. After dinner Ben and I were beat so it was a record fast bath and quite time then quickly off to bed. We enjoyed the rest of the night with each other.

So that's what our last few weekends have been like.

Bed post 1, Bryce 0

It's naptime for Bryce and instead of laying in bed falling asleep like he should have been. He decieded it was a good idea to sneak out to where Noah was. Little did he know Mom was walking up the stairs and caught him. He saw me jumped and ran back for his bed. But his feet must have gotten in his way and he fell head first into the metal rail of the bed. OUCH!!

It looks alot better in the picture. I couldn't find my camera so it's off my phone. Of course he is not going to take a nap now but he is cuddled up with his brother in my bed watching Spongebob. Poor little guy.

Root, Root, Root for the ANGELS!!

Ben and his brother were able to make it out to the Red Sox/Angel game while they were in town. Both were super excited and it was their 1st time seeing the "green monster" Matt met Ben at work and they took off from there. The boys and I sat home bored outta our minds and green with envy. The Angels kicked ass!! GO ANGELS!! So it was a great night for Ben. haha. The boys got home around 11ish with lots of fun stories and laughs to share. Both boys forgot their camera's so Ben snapped a few pictures with his phone.

1st ER trip (on the east coast)

Yes I got the joy of taking Bryce in for his 1st trip to the Exeter ER. I believe it was Thursday last week. Matt and Amanda were over when I realized that Bryce had dried blood in his ears. Matt and Amanda watched as I cleaned his ears trying to see if I could tell where the blood was coming from. Amanda and I both agreed that that wasn't normal. I soon learned why you should not be lazy in switching over medical insurance. Afraid to take Bryce in before the paperwork was faxed off, I walked in circles until I found it. By that time Amanda had fallen asleep and Matt and I decided to take the kids to the park. When Ben got home he went and faxed the paperwork for me. It started pouring down rain on us at the park so we loaded up. Matt headed home with the boys and I took Sky and Bryce to the E.R. After about 2 1/2 hours of waiting we finally saw a doctor. And much to my surprise nothing was wrong. Apparently dried blood in your ears is perfectly normal. Ben and I are not totally satisfied with this diagnosis so we plan on following up with his doctor later this week. Here are a few pictures of the kids while we were waiting.

NH State Park

One day last week the boys and I went venturing out. We were told about a state park near by that had trails and such. Being a little homesick for OR and our trail walks to the park, beach and everywhere else in between we took off. Heck if I remember the name but it was beautiful. I must say it is pretty out here but we were very spoiled with the amazingly breath taking views we saw everyday along the Oregon Coast. But that day walking in the park with the boys I was taken back at how pretty it was. And I actually enjoyed being able to walk on the rocks to the water. The boys had a blast venturing off finding hidden picnic tables and a playground. If only the bugs would have stayed away it would have been perfect! After applying the bug spray 3x's and still being bitten we took off with a promise to bring Dad back to walk more trails.

Happy 1 year

Anniversary Jeff and Jess! I can't believe last year about this time we were all sitting in a salon getting our hair done. And now we are miles and miles away from you guys. We had so much fun that week and we will never forget it! We love you guys more then you know. You guys are an amazing couple and we wish you nothing but the best. Enjoy your day today and remember we are thinking of you!!
